Director – Grindstone Field Solutions

Job Description:
Primary roles and responsibilities will be to work with the Principal to support the launch of Grindstone Communication Solutions. The Director will be responsible for setting a positive office culture in a fast pace, high pressure environment. The Director will work with the Principal to recruit, train, and manage a large team of dialers, including managing work schedules, on-boarding and off-boarding, overseeing payroll and ensuring high quality outreach and communications.jobs@grindstonefield.com

Location:

GFS Director Duties:
• Manage the Grindstone Communication Solutions office
• Recruit and train staff
• Oversee payroll and ensure operations are in accordance with the California Fair Labor Standards Act
• Provide progress reports on strategic goals and organizational/advocacy activity daily
• Track and monitor data for quality and trends of interest

Qualifications:
• Minimum two cycles of campaign staff experience
• Experience managing or working with an auto-dialer or professional phone bank
• Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple priority projects
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Ability to execute strategic goals and think creatively to solve staffing and workload challenges
• Experience with voter software, such as PDI or VAN preferred but not required
• Must be able to work long hours in a high‐stress environment
• Must be available through November 2020

Expectations:
• Create a professional and exciting office environment
• Diligently manage targeted lists and outcomes
• Meet staffing goals and requirements
• Provide the Managing Partners daily updates and communications on office goals and priorities

Compensation:
$60,000 – $72,000, vacation and bonus opportunities available


Campaign Manager

Job Description:
The Campaign Manager oversees all aspects of the campaign including day-to-day operations, the coordination of party activities, fundraising and events, as well as ongoing coordination with the candidate and consulting team. The manager must have excellent organizational skills, be professional, and have good interpersonal skills.

Campaign Manager Duties:
• Manage day to day campaign activities
• Coordinate media availability and messaging with candidate and consulting team
• Ensure all endorsement deadlines are met
• Support and staff candidate at necessary party/fundraising/organizational outreach and events
• Provide progress reports on strategic goals and organizational/advocacy activity daily

Qualifications:
• Minimum two cycles of campaign staff experience, including senior staff experience
• Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple stakeholders
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Ability to execute strategic goals and work effectively with regional and local leaders
• Must be able to work long hours in a high‐stress environment
• Must be available through November 3rd 2020

Expectations:
• Support communication between candidate, campaign and consulting team
• Be responsive to candidate and consultant team needs
• Present a professional and energetic face for the campaign
• Support volunteers and supporters in all voter contact activities

Compensation:
$5,000 – $6,000 a month


Field Director

Job Description:
The Field Director will work directly the consultant team to execute an efficient and targeted ground campaign. The Field Director will be responsible for managing field staff, including a professional canvassing operation, as well as organizing local organizations and volunteers to build outreach capacity.

Campaign Coordinator

Job Description:
The Campaign Coordinator oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates campaign events, recruits and manages volunteers in coordination with the candidate and consulting team. The Campaign Coordinator must have excellent organizational skills, be professional, and have good interpersonal skills.

• Recruit and manage voter outreach activities (canvassing, phone banks, etc.)
